A big moment for Nissan Formula E Team! British driver Oliver Rowland has officially won the ABB FIA Formula E Drivers’ World Championship during Round 14 of the 2024/25 season. This marks both his and Nissan’s first-ever Formula E title win.
Despite starting the race from 8th place due to a penalty, Rowland showed brilliant strategy and energy management to finish 4th, sealing the championship with two races still to go.

Meanwhile, Sérgio Sette Câmara, who made his debut for the team this weekend, also impressed. Starting all the way back in 21st, the Brazilian climbed through the field and finished 9th, scoring his first points for the team.
What the Team Said
Tommaso Volpe, Managing Director & Team Principal, couldn’t hide his pride:
- “This is one of the most emotional weekends I’ve had in motorsport. To win the championship with Oliver, who started his Formula E journey with us, is incredibly special. Sérgio also did a great job scoring points in just his second race.”

Oliver Rowland added:
- “It’s an amazing feeling to become World Champion with Nissan. I focused on just giving it my best rather than playing it safe — and it worked. The team has supported me fully since I returned, and I’m incredibly thankful.”
Sérgio Sette Câmara said:
- “Qualifying didn’t go to plan, but the race pace was strong. I’m grateful for the opportunity and proud to score points for Nissan. And a big congratulations to Oliver on the title!”
