Kia motors India teased their first SUV in India based on the SP Concept showcased at 2018 Auto Expo. It is said that the world premiere for this upcoming SUV will be happen in India later this year.
While go through the design, the most attractive thing lies on the flagship ‘Tiger Nose’ grille in the front. The headlight design perceives to be futuristic. It is seen from the sketches that the the DRL is extent up to the centre portion of the grille. Moreover, the Front and Rear lighting systems are more likely to get attractive LED treatments.Furthermore, rear portion is also very captivating with well contoured bumper panels with an attractive tail lamps which incorporate a chrome plate.
Upon interior, the car is expected to get a fully touch screen infotainment system with a 360 degree camera. Along with this premium features such as Ambient lighting package, Head-up display, Wireless charging, Fully digital instrument cluster can be also expected.
Moreover, from the sketches, it is clear that the SUV has a wider wheel track, which points to the room cabin inside.As far as the engine concerned, the Kia SP is likely to get the 1.5L BS VI compliant diesel and petrol engine option. Both of these are available in either in an Automatic or a Manual Gearbox option. From the sources, it is said that the car will also avail in an 1.4 turbo petrol option with a DCT.
The Kia SP is expected to market ready sometime later this year. It will take on the likes of the market available: Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier and the Nissan Kicks, besides, it will be also rival the upcoming MG hector SUV.
