Rolls-Royce Reveals Black Badge Cullinan by Artist Cyril Kongo

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has unveiled the ultra-exclusive Cullinan Black Badge by Cyril Kongo, a special collaboration with contemporary artist Cyril Kongo.

Rolls-Royce will build just five examples worldwide, with each SUV featuring completely hand-painted artwork inside the cabin.

Inspired by “The Kongoverse”

The project brings Kongo’s colourful artistic world called “The Kongoverse” into the Cullinan through:

  • Graffiti-inspired graphics
  • Fantasy planets
  • Mathematical symbols
  • Quantum physics references

The artwork appears across multiple areas inside the SUV.

Hand-Painted Starlight Roof

The biggest highlight is the hand-painted Starlight Headliner, which includes:

  • 1,344 fibre-optic stars
  • Custom constellations
  • Painted celestial artwork

Rolls-Royce says Kongo personally worked with engineers to decide the placement of every illuminated star. Each roof also gets eight shooting stars, including one stretching across the full ceiling, a first for the brand.

Colourful Bespoke Interior

Inside, Rolls-Royce has divided the cabin into four different colour zones using:

  • Phoenix Red
  • Turchese
  • Forge Yellow
  • Mandarin

The artwork also extends across the:

  • Dashboard
  • Centre console
  • Rear picnic tables
  • Rear waterfall section

Unique Exterior Finish

The exterior gets a special Blue Crystal Over Black finish along with Rolls-Royce’s first-ever Gradient Coachline, where colours fade into each other across the bodywork.

Even the brake calipers get different colours to match the interior accents.

Hidden Details Everywhere

The SUV also gets several subtle custom touches, including:

  • Kongo signature graphics inside umbrellas
  • Hidden artwork inside the sun visor
  • Illuminated treadplates
  • Hand-embroidered motifs

Final Take

The Rolls-Royce Black Badge Cullinan by Cyril Kongo feels more like a rolling piece of modern art than a traditional luxury SUV. Between the hand-painted ceiling, vibrant colours and deep artistic collaboration, Rolls-Royce has created one of its boldest bespoke projects yet.
