Volvo To Launch XC40 On July 4: Bookings Open
The new entry-level luxury SUV can be pre-booked for Rs 5 lakhs at Volvo dealerships across the country
Volvo Car India is all set to launch their much awaited compact SUV the new XC40 in India. The pre-booking of the vehicle has already begun at the dealership across the country for a token of INR 5 lakhs. The vehicle will be launched officially on July 4, 2018.
XC40 will be the third SUV from the Swedish makers following XC90 and XC60. This entry-level luxury SUV has already won European car of the year award and it is all geared up for the Indian entry. The car will be shipped to India via CBU route and a limited number of 200 units will be allocated for the Indian market initially. The new XC40 is expected to be priced between 40 to 45 lakhs.
This compact luxury SUV is based on the Volvo’s newly formed electric-ready platform. It features the D4 diesel engine that generates 190bhp comes equipped with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. More specifications and actual pricing will be available on the launch date.
