Spark Minda Teams Up with Japan’s Toyodenso for Advanced Car Switches in India!

Minda Corporation, a major Indian auto parts maker, has joined hands with Toyodenso Co., a Japanese specialist and pioneer in advanced automotive switches. This new partnership will bring cutting-edge switch technology to India, aiming to meet the growing demand for smarter vehicle components.

Minda Corporation, the main company of the Spark Minda Group, recently announced a Joint Venture (JV) with Japan’s Toyodenso Co. This collaboration will focus on designing, developing, manufacturing, and selling advanced automotive switches for various vehicles in the Indian market, including two-wheelers, cars, and other automotive segments.

In this new JV, Minda Corporation will hold the majority stake, owning 60 percent of the partnership, while Toyodenso will hold the remaining 40 percentage. The new company has already secured orders from customers in India. They plan to set up a brand-new factory in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, with operations expected to begin by the second half of FY 2026-27.

This partnership is a strategic move to cater to the increasing need for advanced switches in India’s booming automotive industry. Toyodenso will bring its latest technologies and engineering know-how, while Minda Corporation will contribute its strong experience in local manufacturing and its well-established supply chain.
