The Statesman Annual Vintage Car Rally-India’s oldest vintage car rally

It’s that time of the year again. The Vintage car afficionado & owners are gearing up for the 52nd edition of  The Statesman Vintage & Classic Car Rally, India featuring  the vintage & most astonishing automobiles ever manufactured. The cars and bikes will go on a drive through the city where they will be assessed for originality and performance on the road section .After the rally,these cars will be put on display for the visitors followed by live music.Some of the iconic cars include 1930 Studebaker (Car that Nathuram Godse used to kill Mahatma Gandhi), 1933 Rolls Royce, 1947 Buick Ford 1932 , Vuick 1932, Fiat 1926pontiac , dodge,1914 John Morris, 1946 oldsmobile and many more.

Flag off ceremony & exhibition:

To be held on 11th February, 2018, at 10:00 am

Venue:

Flag off ceremony at The Statesman House

Culmination and prize distribution  at the Dhyanchand National Stadium

About The Statesman Vintage & Classic Car Rally

The Statesman Vintage & Classic Car Rally is the oldest  continuously-run vintage car rally in India or the sub-continent. The first edition of the rally took place back in 1964 in Delhi. From 1968, it was also held in  Kolkata. The Statesman, a nearly 200-year-old newspaper , organises the event that sees vintage beauties cruise down the streets of the Capital.
