Stellantis Announces ₹4,000 Crore Investment, 12 New Jeep and Citroen Products

Stellantis has announced a fresh investment of around ₹4,000 crore in India as part of its FaSTLAne 2030 strategy. The company plans to introduce 12 products across Jeep and Citroen over the next three years, with the first launch scheduled for the second quarter of 2027.

The upcoming lineup will include seven all-new products and five major upgrades, covering several passenger vehicle segments.

Jeep and Citroen to Expand Their Lineups

The new products will span B, C and D-segment SUVs, an MPV, an A-segment car and a premium pickup. Of the 12 planned launches, five will come from Jeep and seven from Citroen.

While Jeep will focus on expanding its premium SUV lineup, Citroen will target a wider audience with more accessible vehicles focused on comfort, design and technology.

Petrol, Hybrid and Electric Options Planned

Stellantis will follow a multi-powertrain strategy, offering different technologies based on customer needs and affordability. The upcoming lineup could include conventional petrol and diesel engines, hybrids, plug-in hybrids and fully electric vehicles.

The company is also targeting 90% localisation across both brands, making greater use of India’s manufacturing and supplier network.

India to Play a Bigger Role

The fresh investment will take Stellantis’ total investment in India to approximately ₹15,000 crore by 2030, building on the more than ₹11,000 crore already invested.

The company operates manufacturing facilities in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, alongside engineering and software operations in Bengaluru.

India will also play a bigger role in Stellantis’ global operations. The company currently exports to around 50 countries, with approximately 95% of the engines and gearboxes produced at its Hosur facility shipped overseas.
