Subaru Unveils the All-New 2026 Uncharted Electric SUV

Subaru has taken a bold new step into the electric future with the reveal of the 2026 Subaru Uncharted, an all-electric compact SUV. The big reveal took place in New York City, marking a major milestone for the brand as it launches its first electric compact crossover.

Set to hit showrooms across the U.S. in early 2026, the Uncharted is built for adventure lovers who want eco-friendly performance without sacrificing everyday practicality.

Built for Adventure – With Power and Range

The Uncharted isn’t just about going green—it’s about going places. With up to 338 horsepower, this electric SUV can go from 0 to 60 mph in under 5 seconds, making it one of the quickest Subarus yet. Most versions come with Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, perfect for handling all kinds of road and weather conditions. The driving range is just as impressive, with over 300 miles of range in the front-wheel-drive Premium model, and up to 290 miles in the AWD Sport and GT trims. Charging is quick too—thanks to fast charging support, the battery can go from 10% to 80% in just about 30 minutes.

Trim Options to Fit Different Lifestyles

The Uncharted will be offered in three trims:

  • Premium (FWD): Ideal for budget-conscious buyers who want maximum range (300+ miles) and 221 horsepower.
  • Sport (AWD): Balanced power and features with 338 hp and Subaru’s X-MODE® for off-road confidence.
  • GT (AWD): The top-spec model adds luxury touches like ventilated seats, premium audio, and a panoramic moonroof.

Smarter Tech, Better Drive

Inside, the Uncharted feels modern and connected. It comes standard with a 14-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, dual wireless phone chargers, and USB-C ports for rear passengers.

Charging is easy at home or on the go. A 150 kW NACS fast charger works at Tesla Superchargers across the country, and an 11-kW home charger supports Level 1 and Level 2 options.

You also get Subaru’s latest EyeSight® safety tech, including features like:

  • Emergency braking
  • Blind spot monitoring
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Lane departure alerts
  • Traffic jam assist
  • And even a smart rearview mirror

Designed to Look as Good as It Drives

From the outside, the Uncharted blends sleek lines with rugged confidence. It features Subaru’s signature lighting, a glowing six-star logo, and bold 18- or 20-inch wheels. The two-tone roof on the GT version adds style, while low-profile roof rails give it extra practicality.

Inside, the cabin is airy and welcoming. There are soft-touch materials, orange accent stitching, and StarTex® water-resistant upholstery in the Sport and GT. Rear passengers get generous legroom and even heated seats in the GT trim.

Coming in 2026

The 2026 Subaru Uncharted is more than just another electric vehicle—it’s a confident step forward for the brand and its customers. With performance, practicality, and Subaru’s signature adventurous spirit, it’s built for people ready to explore what’s next.

Pricing and full specs will be announced closer to launch in early 2026.
