Suzuki Motorcycle India consolidates post festive rush momentum with 24% growth

New Delhi, December 02, 2018: Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), a subsidiary of one of the world’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan clocked a total domestic sale of selling 53,058 units during November 2018, registering a Y-O-Y growth of 24.19%, over the 42,722 units it had sold in November 2017.

Commenting on the performance, Mr. Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd said, “The consistent double digit growth that we have maintained in November as well, is a testimony to consumer trust that Suzuki enjoys in India. We are confident of carrying forward this momentum into the coming months as well, and achieve our sales target of 7.5 lakh units in FY18-19.”

Overall, Suzuki Motorcycle India made an overall sale of 56,531 units (domestic + exports) as compared to 49,647 units during the corresponding month last year, for a year-on-year growth of 13.86%, while cumulatively, Suzuki Motorcycle India has achieved sales of 4,93,329 units for April – November 2018 period.

November was also a month full of speed and action for Suzuki Motorcycle India. As the final round of Suzuki Gixxer Cup Championship 2018 concluded at the Buddh International Circuit, Chennai’s Joseph Mathew clinched the championship the second consecutive season.
