Suzuki Motorcycle India records 29% growth in the month of June 2019

Thriving on a strong sales performance, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), a subsidiary of two-wheeler manufacturer, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, registers 29% Y-O-Y increase in the month of June 2019. The company sold 67,491 units (Domestic + Exports) this year vis-à-vis 52,217 units, same month last year.

With regards to domestic sales in June 2019, Suzuki Motorcycle India posted 22% Y-O-Y increase by registering 57,023 unit sales as compared to 46,717 units during June 2018. Cumulatively, the company recorded 205,073 unit sales at the end of the first quarter (April – June) of FY19-20 as against 170,103 units during the initial quarter of last fiscal – a growth of 21% over Q1 of last financial year.

Commenting on SMIPL’s growth performance, Mr. Devashish Handa, Vice President, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd.,said, “Despite a challenging time for the automobile industry, Suzuki Motorcycle India has registered a strong sales performance in the first quarter by clocking double-digit growth. We acknowledge it with deep gratitude, the confidence that the Indian two-wheeler buyer has reposed in us. A large share of this creditable performance also goes to our dealer network, which has been extending ‘best in class’ service to our esteemed customers.”
