BMW unveils their next generation 1-series.

Debuted in 2014, the 1-Series has gone two successive generations. The second generation was first appeared on 2011 by spun off the 1-series coupe and convertible models to create new 2-series range.Now in its third generation the remarkable change is the new platform which switches to Front wheel drive layout from the conventional rear wheel drive.

The car changes dramatically in its overall looks. Unlike the trend in automobile industry to increase the length while evolves into a new generation, the new 1-series actually reduces its overall length to 5 mm and wheelbase to 20mm. However, the overall height and width were increased to 13 mm and 34 mm respectively.Moreover, the new FWD setup increases the cabin room toa great extent.

The headlights were reshaped and the kidney grill were sculptured in the new BMW design terminology, which incorporated large kidney grilles meet at the centre. Upon side, the typical BMW Hofmeister kink elements are obvious.The flatbelt line at the bottom now has more dynamic silhouette.The alloy wheels ranging from 16 to 19 inches depends on the variants.The chrome beedings are provided around the window lines, which in fact relatively thick in size.

Upon interior, the typical BMW steering wheel, dashboard elements and the 8.8 inch infotainment screen pays attention.The interior lighting is very moody indeed.The seats with integrated headrest looks very sporty. The M packages will offer the custom M-flag to be stitched in the seat corners

On the top of the range will be the 2.0L M135i X Drive which produces 302 hp and 450 Nm of torque. Apart from this, entry-level 118i will rely on a three-cylinder 1.5-liter petrol makes 138 hp and 220 Nm with FWD layout and the diesel variants 116d, 118d with FWD and 120d X Drive will also available.
