Tata.ev Extends BaaS To Its Entire EV Range

Tata.ev has now made its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option available across its entire electric car range in India. It was earlier offered only with the Tiago.ev and Punch.ev, but is now available with the Nexon.ev, Curvv.ev, Sierra.ev and Harrier.ev as well.

The idea is simple: instead of paying for the car and battery together, customers can finance the battery separately. This brings down the amount they need to pay upfront and gives them another way to buy an EV.

Lower Upfront Prices

Under the BaaS plan, the battery cost is separated from the vehicle price. Here is how the starting prices compare:

How Does BaaS Work?

The car and battery are financed through separate loan accounts, with the battery payment depending on its size, down payment, and loan tenure.

Tata.ev has also tied up with multiple financiers, giving customers different financing options. Buyers can still choose to purchase the car normally, including the battery, if they prefer.
