All about Q3, E-Tron Sportback GT and Q8 series
Audi’s product offensive will bring the small A1, the new Q3 and the SUV coupe Q8 in 2018. In electric cars, the Porsche Mission E-derivative E-Tron GT comes as the third and last model, which is not based on a kit.
By 2025, 13 new electric models from two kits are planned. In the medium term, all conventional models at Audi will feature at least a mild hybrid as standard and, depending on the segment, a 48-volt or less expensive 12-volt vehicle electrical system. By the year 2025, there will be an electrified variant in every Audi model series – all-electric or as a plug-in hybrid. This range of products has the ambitious goal of selling around 800,000 electric cars and plug-in hybrids in 2025. Here are the upcoming models at a glance.
Audi Q3 – 2018
The second smallest SUV is already in mid-2018 new. The second generation of the Q3 will grow a bit. Finally, the new Audi Q3 has to let down the Audi Q2. Audi E-Tron – 2018
It will be the first all-electric SUV of the brand and should stop models like the Model X by Tesla. They are 4.88 in length, 1.93 meters in width and 1.54 in height, with a wheelbase of 2.91 meters. The trunk volume ranges from 615 to 1,725 liters.
Audi’s battery capacity is 95 kWh – just 5 kWh less than the largest Tesla battery in the P-100-D models (S or X). Audi E-Tron Sportback – 2019
Audi’s second all-electric model will be using the same technology as the E-Tron. So that means: outstanding performance, large battery, fast charging. The optics are reminiscent of an A7 with SUV substructure. The Coupé form should offer less space in the interior, but the lines are sportier and more attractive than the sister model. Both e-cars are still based on a modified, adapted to electric drive platform based on the Modular Longitudinal Construction Kit (MLB).
Audi Q5, A7, A6 L and Q8 Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV)
Audi will expand its range of PHEVs to all series in order to achieve the CO2 targets and to offer some locally emission-free cars for cities. An Audi Q5 Hybrid is expected in 2018, the A7 PHEV in 2019, and the A6 L as a plug-in hybrid in China by the end of 2019 should help to earn bonus points as a New Energy Vehicle. In 2020, the SUV Coupé as a hybrid – as a supplement to the purely electric E-Tron Sportback.
Audi Robotaxi (Showcar) – 2019

Audi E-Tron GT – 2020
On the basis of the Porsche electric sports car E-Tron, there should also be an Audi derivative with pure electric drive. The E-Tron GT receives the typical E-Tron look with the inverse single-frame grill, relies on the 800 volt technology of the Porsche and on the underfloor battery pack with a capacity of 100 kWh. Audi E-Tron compact – 2020
In order for the share of pure-electric cars to increase significantly, Audi also has to offer BEV in the volume segment. Audi Premium Platform Electrification (PPE) – 2021
The electrification offensive of Audi is called Roadmap E. Audi Aicon (pilot fleet) – 2021
