Aprilla SR series is a real sporty commuter in the scooter segment. It has substantial level of performance and handling. However, in terms of pricing the rivals make sense. In order to fill their gap in budget sports scooter segment Aprilla is planning to introduce a new entry level model into the lineup.
The Strom 125 will source the same engine as in the SR 125. However will occupy a small size alloy wheels and tyres. Furthermore, the front brakes will be available in both Disc and Drum-type system. While the later with a CBS(Combi Brake System).
New graphics will be available on body panels with more colour options to choose from. The engine is capable of generating a 9.4 bhp and 9.9 Nm of peak torque, which transferring the power into the wheels through a CVT system.
Currently, Aprilla has 2 models in the lineup: SR125 and SR 150, while the SR150 has 4 variants to choose from. The new Aprilia Storm 125 will take the likes on the Honda Grazia, Suzuki Burgman Street and the TVS NTorq. The pricing is expected around 60,000-65,000 INR (Ex-Showroom).
