Royal Enfield treated the world with the all-new Bear 650, a scrambler based on the Interceptor 650 that we all know and love. It’s the latest instalment in Royal Enfield’s portfolio of 650cc motorcycles, and one that certainly has a plethora of expectations riding on it. Royal Enfield is a company that always nails it when it comes to product names, there’s always a compelling reason behind the christening of each model and the Bear 650 is no exception.
The name ‘Bear’ was primarily selected as a celebration of a historic race win over six decades ago Back in the year 1960, American dirt racer and stuntman Eddie Mulder raced a modified Royal Enfield Twin to a fabulous victory at the Bear Run race. This was a crucial moment in the company’s history, as it transformed Royal Enfield into a known entity in America and spawned the original Interceptor 750. With the arrival of the new Bear 650, Royal Enfield is aiming to capture the hearts of riders once again. Has Royal Enfield perfectly cracked the Scrambler formula once again with the Bear 650?
There is only one way to figure that out! In this video, we ride the Royal Enfield Bear 650 for the FIRST TIME in Palm Springs, California, and see what makes it a “perfect scrambler”.
