The Skoda Octavia RS Returns to India: 50 More Units for Enthusiasts

The Skoda Octavia RS is back in India, and once again, availability is extremely limited. Following the strong response to the previous batch in 2025, Skoda Auto India has brought in just 50 more units of its iconic performance sedan.

Priced at ₹56.69 lakh (ex-showroom), deliveries are set to begin next week.

Performance Remains the Main Attraction

The Octavia RS continues with its 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine, producing:

  • 261hp and 370 Nm
  • 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds
  • 7-speed DSG automatic
  • 250 km/h electronically limited top speed

Progressive steering, sports suspension and a performance-focused chassis aim to deliver the sharp, engaging driving experience the RS badge is known for.

Fast, But Still Practical

Despite its performance credentials, the Octavia RS remains a proper everyday sedan.

  • 600-litre boot, expandable to 1,555 litres
  • 19-inch alloy wheels
  • Full LED Matrix headlights
  • Available in Mamba Green, Velvet Red and Magic Black

Inside, it gets sports seats with heating, memory and massage functions, Suedia Leather upholstery, red stitching, ambient lighting and a Virtual Cockpit.

Technology and Safety

The RS also comes loaded with modern equipment:

  • 10 airbags
  • ADAS with Adaptive Cruise Control and Autonomous Emergency Braking
  • Head-Up Display
  • 360-degree camera
  • Intelligent Park Assist
  • 675W Canton sound system with 11 speakers

A Nameplate with History

The RS badge has roots in Skoda’s motorsport history, while the Octavia RS has built a cult following in India since the original model arrived in 2004.

This latest return also coincides with 30 years of the Octavia and over 50 years of the RS legacy.

The Final Take

With only 50 units available, the Octavia RS isn’t just another performance car, it remains one of the rare few sedans keeping the enthusiast dream alive in India.

At ₹56.69 lakh, would you buy the Octavia RS, or is there another performance car you’d choose instead?
