Triumph has launched the new Thruxton 400 in India, priced at Rs 2.74 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This café racer is the flagship model in Triumph’s 400cc lineup and sits above the Scrambler 400 X.

Distinctive Café Racer Design and Upgrades

The Thruxton 400 stands out as the best-looking bike in Triumph’s 400cc range, featuring both visual and functional upgrades over the Speed 400. Triumph has redesigned the rear sub-frame, added clip-on handlebars, and repositioned the rider footpegs for a sportier riding position.

Styling highlights include a café racer-style semi-fairing, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and new side panels. The tail section features a slim fender and a new taillight assembly. The bike also comes with a wide, re-profiled seat for a forward-leaning posture, and a standard seat cowl.

Performance and Engine

The Thruxton 400 uses the same 398cc, liquid-cooled TR-series engine as other Triumph 400cc models, but with a new camshaft that boosts output. The engine produces 41.5 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm—2 bhp more than its siblings, with power and torque delivered higher in the rev range.

Triumph has also revised the suspension setup to provide a sportier and more engaging ride.

Color Options

The Thruxton 400 is available in four colors: Lava Red Gloss, Pearl Metallic White, Phantom Black, and Metallic Racing Yellow.

With its classic café racer styling, upgraded performance, and premium features, the Triumph Thruxton 400 is set to attract enthusiasts looking for a stylish and sporty 400cc motorcycle.
