TVS Racing Launches Apache Junior Programme to Nurture India’s Next Generation of Racers

TVS Motor Company has introduced the TVS Apache Junior Programme, a new grassroots rider development initiative aimed at young racing enthusiasts aged 10 to 14 years. As part of the programme, the company has handed over 10 TVS Apache RR 200 Mini motorcycles to the Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC), where aspiring racers will undergo structured training under the guidance of experienced instructors and TVS Racing champions.

The initiative is designed to create a clear pathway from beginner training to professional circuit racing while promoting safe and responsible riding from an early age.

Structured rider development programme

The TVS Apache Junior Programme will be conducted at the Madras International Karting Arena (MIKA) and is aimed at introducing children to the fundamentals of motorcycle racing in a controlled environment.

Participants will train on specially developed TVS Apache RR 200 Mini motorcycles, which will be available on rent as part of the programme.

The curriculum focuses on:

  • Riding technique
  • Precision and control
  • Racing discipline
  • Safety awareness
  • Professional rider development

A pathway to professional racing

TVS has also outlined a structured progression for young riders as they develop their racing skills.

The pathway includes:

  • TVS Apache Junior Programme (10–14 years): Training on the Apache RR 200 Mini
  • TVS One Make Championship Rookie Category (15+ years): Entry into competitive circuit racing
  • TVS One Make Championship RR 310 Expert Category: Advanced racing development
  • TVS Racing International Championship: Opportunities to compete globally

According to the company, the programme is intended to strengthen India’s grassroots motorsport ecosystem by providing aspiring racers with a defined route into professional competition.

Focus on safety

TVS says safety remains the cornerstone of every initiative under the programme.

Young riders will receive:

  • Professional coaching
  • Training in a controlled environment
  • Purpose-built racing motorcycles
  • World-class protective riding gear

The company believes this approach will help build riding skills while encouraging a culture of safe and responsible motorcycling.

Celebrating 20 years of the Apache brand

The launch of the programme also coincides with 20 years of the TVS Apache brand.

Today, the Apache lineup has grown to a community of over 7 million riders across 90 countries and continues to embody TVS Racing’s “Track to Road” philosophy, where lessons learned in motorsport influence the development of production motorcycles.
