Volvo officially launched V90 Cross country last year in India at an attractive price of Rs. 60 lakhs (Ex-Showroom, Mumbai). The V90 Cross Country is one of the best looking station wagon in the world but its not very appealing in India. Most of the manufactures didn’t explore station wagon segment because of its lack of volume. Thanks to the styling, V90 Cross Country is popular in India.
Charles Frump, MD, Volvo Auto India confirmed that the company is going to assemble V90 Cross Country in India. Volvo already commenced local assembly of XC90 in India. The company is currently assembling product at its Bangalore facility which is operated by Volvo commercial department. Followed by V90 Cross Country, Volvo will also assemble S90 and XC60 also.
