2027 Kawasaki Versys 650 Arrives at ₹8.63 lakh

Kawasaki has launched the 2027 Versys 650 in India at ₹8.63 lakh (ex-showroom), with the price unchanged from the previous model year. The update is a small one, with the adventure-tourer gaining a new colour while carrying forward its existing mechanical and feature package.

New Colour, Same Package

The biggest change for 2027 is the addition of Candy Lime Green, which is also the only colour offered with the new model. Beyond the paint, Kawasaki has made no changes to the bike.

  • Price remains ₹8.63 lakh
  • Single Candy Lime Green colour
  • Same features and chassis
  • Deliveries expected to begin by the end of August

649cc Parallel-Twin

Power continues to come from the familiar 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. It produces 67hp and 61Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox and assist-and-slipper clutch.

The Versys 650 also retains its touring-focused chassis, with a 41mm telescopic fork at the front and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock.

Built for Long Distances

The Versys continues to focus on road-going adventure touring rather than hardcore off-roading. Its equipment includes an adjustable windscreen, traction control, full-LED lighting and a 4.3-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity.

  • 21-litre fuel tank
  • 220kg kerb weight
  • 845mm seat height
  • 170mm ground clearance
  • 150mm front and 145mm rear suspension travel

The Competition

At ₹8.63 lakh, the Versys 650 continues to occupy a fairly unique position in India’s middleweight adventure-touring market. Its closest rival is the Honda NX500, which is priced lower at ₹7.44 lakh.

Final Take

The 2027 Kawasaki Versys 650 is an update in the simplest sense: new colour, same motorcycle. That is not necessarily a bad thing. Its proven 649cc engine, long-distance focus and useful touring equipment remain competitive, although the unchanged price and limited update mean existing Versys owners have little reason to upgrade.
