Specifications for India
The India-spec model will be based on Suzuki’s new HEARTECT-E Platform. The car will be a front wheel drive SUV at the launch.

The base model of the E Vitara gets a 49 kWh battery generating an output of 142 hp and 193 Nm torque. The alpha variant gets a 61 kWh battery, putting out 172 hp and same 193 Nm torque.

Exterior Design Logic
As per the official website, the new E Vitara comes with a futuristic design, a stance so dearly called “Polyhedral Muscular” by Maruti Suzuki. At first glance, the car breaks the usual design streak by Maruti, signifying a new design logic for more EVs to come.

Ownership & Charging
Maruti Suzuki’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), features a subscription model and guaranteed buyback options. Indian buyers aren’t alien to the term BaaS as MG Windsor, another EV Introduced this model as an option.
The Company plans to build over 2000 charging stations over 1,100 cities and expects to increase the amount by 1,00,000 + public charging stations by 2030.
Key Differences – India vs International Version
The India-spec model is only going to be sold as an FWD (front wheel drive) at launch. International spec will get an AWD (all wheel drive). The charging ecosystem in India is still developing whereas Internationally, the fast-charging system is mature. The model is likely to be sold in India Aggressively. However, the same model is to be positioned as a more premium vehicle abroad.
