Porsche has expanded its all-electric SUV lineup with the introduction of the Porsche Cayenne S Electric, placed between the standard Cayenne Electric and the range-topping turbo variant.

The new model aims to deliver a balanced mix of performance, efficiency and luxury while expanding the Cayenne EV range.
Performance and Powertrain
The Cayenne S Electric features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup.
Key figures include:
- Power output: 536 hp
- Over-boost with Launch Control: Up to 656 hp
- 0-100 km/h: 3.8 seconds
- Top speed: Up to 250 km/h
A key highlight is the direct oil-cooling system for the rear electric motor, which distributes heat directly from current-carrying components.
This helps maintain consistent performance during spirited driving.
Battery, Charging and Range
The Cayenne S Electric uses the same 113 kWh high-voltage battery found in other Cayenne EV variants.
Key figures include:
- WLTP range: Up to 653 km
- Fast charging: up to 400 kW
- 10-80%: under 16 minutes (with compatible ultra-fast chargers)
This combination places the Cayenne S among the quicker-charging premium electric SUVs currently announced.
Exterior Design
The Cayenne S Electric receives subtle design distinctions:
- Model-specific front and rear aprons finished in Volcano Grey Metallic
- Body-coloured diffuser and inserts
- 20-inch Cayenne S Aero wheels

Customers can choose from 13 exterior colours, allowing a wide degree of personalisation.
Interior Style Package
Alongside the new model, Porsche is introducing a “Director’s Cuts” design series through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. The first offering is the Interior Style Package, available for all Cayenne Electric versions.

Key highlights include:
- Two-tone leather upholstery in Black and Delgada Green
- Decorative stitching and seat belts matching the colour theme
- Izabal Green aluminium trim accents
- GT sports steering wheel with a 12-o’clock marker and cross stitching
- Green accents on the compass dial, Sports Chrono stopwatch and power meter
Additional details include illuminated green door sill guards, Silvershade accent package, and a vehicle key finished in Izabal Green.
Chassis and Performance Options
Several advanced performance features are available as options, some previously reserved for the Turbo model:
- Porsche Active Ride suspension for improved stability
- Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV) for enhanced cornering dynamics
- Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) with yellow calipers
- Sport Chrono Package
The Push-to-Pass function can temporarily add 120 hp for up to 10 seconds, while Track mode optimises battery conditioning for performance driving.
Likely India Prospects
The newly revealed Porsche Cayenne S Electric expands Porsche’s all-electric SUV lineup globally, though its launch has not been confirmed yet.
If introduced, the performance-focused electric SUV would likely arrive via the CBU route and compete with models such as the BMW iX, Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, and Audi Q8 e-tron in the country’s premium electric SUV segment.
