As part of its “Thirty Years in India” celebration, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced a dual product expansion, introducing the Creta Summer Edition and the Grand i10 Nios Vibe Edition. These new variants are designed to integrate premium technology and distinctive styling across two of the brand’s most popular segments.

The Hyundai Creta Summer Edition: Elevating the Mid-Size SUV Leader

The Creta Summer Edition introduces a suite of technology and convenience upgrades across select trims, aimed at solidifying the model’s position in a segment where it currently holds over 1.4 million customers.

Key Technology Upgrades:

  • Standard Dashcam: A significant addition to the Summer Edition is the dual-camera dashcam, which is now standard on the SX and SX Premium trims. It features multiple recording modes, including Driving, Emergency, and Vacation recording.
  • Ventilated Seats: Responding to seasonal demands, Hyundai has made front ventilated seats accessible starting from the S(O) variant, a feature previously reserved for top-tier trims.
  • Connectivity: The edition features an enhanced infotainment interface with specialized “Summer Themes” and improved smartphone integration.

Pricing and Variants: The Summer Edition is available with both the 1.5L MPi Petrol and 1.5L U2 CRDi Diesel engines.

  • EX Summer Edition: Starts at ₹12,05,900 (Petrol MT).
  • S(O) Summer Edition: Starts at ₹14,19,900 (Petrol MT).
  • SX Premium Summer Edition: Reaches up to ₹20,14,200 (Diesel AT).

The Grand i10 Nios Vibe Edition: Bold Styling and Segment-First Features

Simultaneously, Hyundai has added a “fresh, expressive character” to its hatchback lineup with the Grand i10 Nios Vibe Edition. This variant focuses on youthful aesthetics and introduces high-end features to the entry-level segment.

VIBE Edition Highlights:

  • Segment-First Dashcam: The VIBE edition and the top-spec Asta variant now come equipped with a factory-fitted dashcam, a first for this segment in India.
  • Exclusive Visuals: The edition features a new Titan Grey Matte exterior colour-the only matte finish available in its class. This is complemented by a “VIBE” exclusive interior upholstery and exterior badging.
  • Transmission Options: The VIBE edition is available with both a 5-speed manual and a Smart Auto AMT transmission.

Pricing and Variants:

  • Sportz VIBE Edition (MT): ₹7,09,400.
  • Sportz (O) VIBE Edition (AMT): ₹7,73,400.
  • Asta (AMT): ₹8,02,600 (now featuring the dashcam).

Strategic Vision: Celebrating 30 Years

These launches represent a strategic push by HMIL to make premium features, like ventilated seats and dashcams, available to a broader range of customers. According to Hyundai leadership, these editions reflect the brand’s commitment to “Safety for All” and its ability to adapt to evolving Indian consumer aspirations.

The introduction of these variants coincides with Hyundai’s “140 Years of Innovation” global celebration, which includes a trans-continental journey of S-Class saloons across 140 worldwide locations.
