Porsche has taken its already crazy-fast Porsche Taycan Turbo GT and made it even more extreme.

With a new Manthey performance kit fitted, the electric sedan has now set a Nürburgring lap time of:
- 6:55.533 minutes
That officially makes it the fastest electric executive car around the famous German racetrack.
What Makes This So Impressive
The Taycan Turbo GT was already incredibly quick before this. But with the new Manthey kit, Porsche test driver Lars Kern managed to go:
- More than 12 seconds faster than the previous Taycan record of 7:07:55.
Before Porsche, Xiaomi Su7 Ultra ( with track package) held the record of 7:04:957
Kern said the upgraded car felt much more stable in fast corners and under hard braking, giving him more confidence to push harder.
What Changed?
The Manthey kit is basically Porsche turning the Taycan into a proper track weapon.

The biggest focus is aerodynamics.
The car now gets:
- Bigger rear wing
- New front diffuser
- Carbon aero parts
- Wider track-focused tyres
All of that creates way more downforce, helping the car stay planted at high speeds.
At 200 km/h, the upgraded Taycan produces 310 kg of downforce, up from just 95 kg previously.
It’s More Powerful Too
Porsche has also unlocked more performance from the electric system.
The upgrades include:
- Higher power output
- Stronger Attack Mode boost
- More torque
- Slightly higher top speed
The car now produces:
- Up to 804 hp
- 1,270 Nm torque
with Attack Mode briefly pushing performance even further.
Lightweight Upgrades Everywhere
The Manthey kit also adds:

- Lightweight forged wheels
- Titanium wheel bolts
- Wider Pirelli Trofeo RS tyres
- Retuned suspension and brakes
Basically, Porsche has upgraded almost everything that matters for track driving.
Available as a Retrofit Kit
Interestingly, Porsche says existing owners of the Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach Package will also be able to buy the Manthey kit later as an upgrade package.
