TVS-owned Norton Motorcycles has unveiled the all-new Atlas and Atlas GT, marking the British brand’s entry into the competitive middleweight adventure-touring segment. Built around a new 585cc parallel-twin engine and packed with modern rider aids, the two motorcycles form a key part of Norton’s plans to expand its global presence.

While both motorcycles share the same platform, Norton has given each model a distinct focus. The Atlas is designed as a versatile adventure motorcycle capable of tackling mixed terrain, while the Atlas GT adopts a more road-focused approach aimed at touring and everyday riding.
New 585cc Parallel-Twin
At the heart of both motorcycles is a liquid-cooled 585cc parallel-twin engine featuring a 270-degree crankshaft.
Engine Highlights:
- 585cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin
- 69 bhp at 9,300rpm
- 57 Nm at 7,300rpm
- 6-speed gearbox
- Bi-directional quickshifter
- Assist and slipper clutch
- Ride-by-wire throttle
Norton says the engine has been tuned to deliver strong low and mid-range performance, making it suitable for both city riding and long-distance touring.
Lightweight Chassis and Premium Components
The Atlas range uses a steel trellis frame with the engine acting as a stressed member. Norton has focused heavily on keeping weight in check, with the motorcycles weighing under 200kg ready to ride.
Fully adjustable KYB units handle suspension duties, while braking comes from dual front discs paired with radial-mounted calipers.
The Atlas features a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel for improved versatility, while the Atlas GT gets 17-inch wheels at both ends for sharper road manners.

Norton has equipped the Atlas and Atlas GT with a comprehensive electronics package.

Key Features:
- Bosch 6-axis IMU

- Traction control
- Cruise control
- Wheelie control
- Five riding modes
