Tesla has expanded its retail and after-sales operations in South India with a new Tesla Experience Centre at Chennai’s Express Avenue Mall. The facility allows customers in Chennai and across Tamil Nadu to experience, order and take delivery of Tesla vehicles locally.
The company has also made a Tesla-Approved Collision Centre in Poonamallee operational, providing access to genuine parts, trained technicians, software-aware diagnostics and collision repairs carried out to Tesla standards.
Retail and After-Sales Support
The Chennai expansion is designed to provide a more complete ownership experience, including:
- Local consultations and test drives
- Vehicle ordering and delivery support
- Tesla-standard collision repair and bodywork
- Genuine Tesla parts and approved repair processes
- Service and warranty support
Tesla says the facilities are intended to help maintain vehicle safety, performance and resale value while reducing repair-related downtime.
Model Y Premium and Model Y L
The 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive offers up to 500 km of WLTP range and 2,138 litres of storage space. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and is priced at ₹50.89 lakh in India.
The larger Model Y L comes with an all-wheel-drive system and a three-row, six-seat configuration. It offers up to 681 km of WLTP range, a 0-100 km/h time of 5.0 seconds and up to 2,539 litres of cargo space. Prices start at ₹61.99 lakh.
Both models receive new features through Tesla’s Over-The-Air updates, including access to the Grok AI assistant in multiple Indian languages.
