TATA.CARS has launched the Aeris, which is essentially the Tata Tigor with a refreshed design and a new name, aimed specifically at private buyers. Prices start at ₹5.29 lakh for petrol and ₹6.29 lakh for iCNG, with both powertrains available with manual and AMT options.
Unlike the Tigor, which also catered to fleet customers, the Aeris is being positioned exclusively as a personal car. Bookings are now open across Tata.CARS dealerships in India, with deliveries set to begin shortly.
Designed for Private Buyers
The Aeris has been developed around the needs of personal and family users, with a focus on design, comfort, technology and safety.

The Aeris is powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine, available with a 5-speed manual and AMT. The iCNG version is offered with both manual and AMT transmissions, with twin-cylinder technology aimed at improving packaging.

Safety and Technology
Safety equipment includes six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD and CSC, Hill Hold Control and ISOFIX anchors. Higher variants also get a Blind View Monitor, MultiView Digital Video Recorder and 360-degree HD camera.

Final Take
The Tata Aeris brings a private-buyer-focused approach to the compact sedan segment, combining multiple powertrain options with a stronger emphasis on design, features and technology. It will remain separate from Tata’s fleet-oriented Xpres-T range.
