Ducati has unveiled the 2027 Panigale V4, bringing engine, chassis, and electronic upgrades to its flagship superbike. The latest version focuses on improving track performance, with Ducati claiming an average lap time improvement of 0.4 seconds at the Vallelunga circuit compared to the outgoing model.

More Power from the Desmosedici Stradale
The 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine now produces 218hp, an increase of 2hp over the previous version. Updates to the intake, exhaust, and lubrication systems improve airflow and reduce mechanical losses.
Key engine updates include:
- Maximum torque of 120.6Nm at 11,000rpm.
- Rev limiter raised to 15,000rpm in second through fifth gears.
- Revised final-drive gearing to reduce gear changes on track.
- An optional Akrapovic racing exhaust that adds 11hp and 7Nm while reducing weight by 6.6kg.
Chassis and Electronics Upgrades
Ducati has revised the Front Frame, reducing lateral stiffness by 12 per cent to improve front-tyre contact and feedback at high lean angles. The updated gearing also reduces the effective wheelbase by 8mm, helping the bike change direction more quickly.
The electronic package gains two important features:
- Dynamic Engine Brake: Adjusts engine braking based on rear-tyre load for greater stability during corner entry.
- Race Brake Control: Increases the rear wheel’s contribution during braking to improve deceleration and corner-entry performance.
The bike also retains rider aids such as cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control and multiple riding modes.
Panigale V4 S Gets Factory Customisation
For the first time, the Panigale V4 S joins Ducati’s Factory Made programme. Customers can choose from 11 colour schemes, including five from Lamborghini’s Ad Personam palette, along with Performance and Corse liveries. Selected homologated components can also be fitted directly at the factory.

The V4 S features Ohlins electronic suspension, forged aluminium wheels and a kerb weight of 187kg without fuel. The standard Panigale V4 weighs 191kg without fuel and uses Showa front suspension and a Sachs rear shock absorber.
Availability
The 2027 Panigale V4 is scheduled to reach European Ducati dealerships in March 2027, followed by North America in April. Other markets will receive the motorcycle in the following months.

Final Take
The 2027 Panigale V4 focuses on making its existing performance package faster and more accessible on track. With more power, revised chassis tuning, and upgraded braking electronics, Ducati aims to shave seconds off lap times without changing the bike’s core formula.
