Kawasaki has revealed the Z300, a new street-naked motorcycle based on the Ninja 300 platform. The motorcycle will serve as the entry-level model in the brand’s Z lineup, with bookings opening on October 19, ahead of its official price announcement.

Engine and Features

The Z300 shares its 296cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine with the Ninja 300. It produces 39hp and 26 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox.

Design-wise, the motorcycle takes inspiration from the larger Z900, featuring a muscular streetfighter silhouette, a wide single-piece handlebar and relaxed riding ergonomics.

Key highlights include:

  • TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity.
  • Two colour options: Green and Black.
  • Upright riding position aimed at everyday usability.

Bookings and Expected Price

Following its showcase in Bengaluru, Kawasaki will hold preview events in Mumbai and Pune on October 18. Bookings will open on October 19, while the company will announce the price, variant details, and technical specifications on October 20.

The Ninja 300 is currently priced at ₹3.34 lakh (ex-showroom). The Z300 could be priced below ₹3 lakh, although Kawasaki has not confirmed this.

Final Take

The Z300 is expected to compete with the KTM 390 Duke and TVS Apache RTR 310. While its parallel-twin engine could appeal to riders looking for refinement, its pricing will be crucial in a segment where rivals offer stronger performance and more capable chassis packages.
