Aprilia dominated the British GP at Silverstone, with Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi finishing second and third behind Raul Fernandez of the Trackhouse MotoGP Team.
The result marked Aprilia Racing’s third podium lockout of the 2026 MotoGP season, following similar results at Le Mans and Assen.
Martin fights back to second
Jorge Martin started the race from pole but lost several positions after a poor getaway. The Aprilia rider fought his way back through the field to finish second.
The result marked Martin’s sixth podium of the season and 38th in the premier class. More importantly, he remains at the top of the championship with 240 points.
Martín admitted that his start was his biggest mistake of the race but said the pace of the Aprilia gave him confidence.
Bezzecchi completes the podium
Marco Bezzecchi started fifth and immediately moved into the leading group. Despite still recovering from injuries suffered at the Sachsenring, he held on to third place until the chequered flag.
It was Bezzecchi’s seventh podium of the season and 25th in MotoGP, moving him back to second in the championship with 209 points.
The result also means Aprilia riders now occupy the top three positions in the championship, with Martin leading Bezzecchi and Ai Ogura.
Fernandez takes Aprilia’s seventh win
The biggest surprise came from Raul Fernandez, who led from the opening corner to the finish to claim his first victory of the season for the SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team.
His win also means every Aprilia rider on the MotoGP grid has now won at least one Grand Prix this season.
The victory was Aprilia’s seventh Grand Prix win of 2026 and its 15th in the premier class. The manufacturer has now reached 309 World Championship victories across all classes.

Silverstone was another big weekend for Aprilia. Martin continues to lead the championship, Bezzecchi is back in second and Fernandez’s victory gives the manufacturer a clean sweep of wins among its MotoGP riders.
With three podium lockouts already this season, Aprilia is looking increasingly difficult to beat in 2026.
