Aprilia Tuono 457 Special Edition Launched At ₹3.99 Lakh

Aprilia India has expanded its middleweight motorcycle range with the launch of the Tuono 457 Special Edition at ₹3.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variant brings a fresh MotoGP-inspired paint scheme and exclusive graphics while retaining the same mechanical package as the standard motorcycle.

The launch comes as Aprilia continues to build on the success of its 457 platform, which has already gained popularity through the RS 457 and the recently introduced Tuono 457.

MotoGP-Inspired Styling

The biggest highlight of the Special Edition is its new racing-inspired appearance.

Drawing inspiration from Aprilia’s MotoGP machines, the motorcycle gets exclusive graphics and colour treatments that add a more aggressive visual identity to the naked streetfighter.

Key highlights include:

  • Exclusive MotoGP-inspired graphics
  • Unique colour scheme
  • Distinctive Special Edition identity
  • Same aggressive Tuono styling

The updates are purely cosmetic, with no mechanical changes underneath.

Familiar 457cc Twin-Cylinder Engine

Powering the Tuono 457 Special Edition is the same 457 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine as in the standard model.

Engine specifications:

  • 457cc parallel-twin engine
  • 47 hp
  • 43.5 Nm of torque
  • 6-speed gearbox

The engine has earned praise for its strong mid-range performance, smooth power delivery and engaging character, making it suitable for both daily commutes and weekend rides.

Performance Meets Practicality

Unlike the fully-faired RS 457, the Tuono 457 offers a more upright riding position and wider handlebars.

The motorcycle continues to feature:

  • Aluminium frame
  • USD front forks
  • Rear monoshock
  • Disc brakes at both ends
  • Dual-channel ABS

This setup gives the Tuono 457 a balance of sporty handling and everyday comfort.

Feature-Rich Package

Aprilia has packed the Tuono 457 with several premium features.

Features include:

  • Full LED lighting
  • 5-inch TFT display
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Multiple riding modes
  • Switchable traction control
  • Dual-channel ABS
  • Optional quickshifter

These features make it one of the most technologically advanced motorcycles in its segment.

Final Take

The Tuono 457 Special Edition doesn’t bring additional performance, but it does add more visual appeal to an already impressive package. With its twin-cylinder engine, premium electronics and MotoGP-inspired styling, it offers enthusiasts another reason to consider one of the most exciting middleweight streetfighters currently on sale in India.
