Aston Martin Valen gets 838hp V12

The Valen uses the most powerful version yet of Aston Martin’s 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12. It produces 838hp and 1,000Nm, with peak torque available from 2,500rpm.

Power is sent to the wheels through an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox. Aston Martin has also revised the transmission software, with some of its calibration inspired by the Vantage GT4 race car.

The Valen can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 3.0 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 344 kmph.

Lighter and sharper than the standard V12

Aston Martin has focused heavily on reducing weight. The Valen is up to 110kg lighter than the core V12 platform, thanks to the use of carbon fibre, aluminium, titanium and magnesium.

The car also gets:

  • Model-specific springs
  • Bilstein DTX semi-active dampers
  • A solid-mounted rear subframe
  • Revised steering and suspension tuning
  • Carbon-ceramic brakes
  • Lightweight magnesium wheels

More aggressive design

The Valen gets a much more aggressive interpretation of Aston Martin’s front-engined supercar design.

At the front, it features deeply recessed headlights, a larger grille, a prominent splitter and functional air vents. The rear gets a full-width light bar, a solid tailgate and an integrated aerodynamic wing.

The car shown here is finished in Satin Andromeda Red, while customers can also opt for exposed carbon fibre and further Q by Aston Martin personalisation.

Valen gets a more focused cabin

Inside, Aston Martin has given the Valen a driver-focused cockpit with a slim centre console and sportier layout.

Buyers can choose between Sports Plus seats and lightweight carbon-fibre performance seats, while Q by Aston Martin offers several options for leather, Alcantara, colours and trim.

Only 150 Valens will be built

Aston Martin will produce just 150 examples of the Valen worldwide, with first customer deliveries scheduled for Q2 2027.

Final Take

The Valen takes Aston Martin’s V12 formula up another notch with 838hp, a lighter body and a sharper chassis. Add the dramatic styling and limited 150-unit production run, and the Valen looks set to become one of Aston Martin’s most exclusive V12 cars.
