Avore Electric Launches EX Electric Motorcycle at ₹1.25 Lakh

Avore Electric has entered India’s electric two-wheeler market with the launch of the EX, its first electric motorcycle. Developed by Ahmedabad-based Samarth E-Mobility, the EX is built on the company’s indigenous AVORE Source technology stack and AVR platform. Available in EX 2S, EX 2 and EX 1 variants, prices start at ₹1.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

Bookings are now open for ₹799, while customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in around two months.

Design

The EX adopts a conventional motorcycle silhouette while incorporating modern EV styling.

Key design highlights include:

  • Dual-tone paint options (EX 2S and EX 2)
  • Signature tank lighting
  • LED welcome lights
  • Ergonomic riding position
  • Manual and automatic riding modes

Avore says the motorcycle has been designed to make the transition from petrol-powered bikes to electric motorcycles feel familiar for Indian riders.

Powertrain

Powering the EX is a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) that uses a rare-earth-free design.

Performance varies across the range:

  • EX 2S: Up to 14hp, 114 km/h top speed
  • EX 2 & EX 1: Up to10hp, 100 km/h top speed

All three variants produce 250 Nm of peak wheel torque.

A key highlight is the Integrated Motor + Swingarm Powertrain, which combines the motor and swingarm into a single unit to improve weight distribution, handling and stability.

Battery and charging

The EX 2S offers an IDC-certified range of 260 km, while the EX 2 delivers 255 km. The entry-level EX 1 is rated at 160 km.

All variants come with a 1,500 W onboard charger, allowing the motorcycle to charge using a standard household socket.

Charging times are:

  • 20-80%: Around 2 hours
  • 0-100%: Around 4 hours

Features and safety

The EX comes equipped with several connected technologies, including:

  • AVORE SENSE operating system
  • AI-powered Avore Synapse
  • AVA vehicle assistance
  • Apex performance mode
  • Syft manual gear mode
  • Park assist
  • Guide-Me-Home lights
  • Auto indicator cut-off

Safety is backed by compliance with AIS 156 and AIS 038 standards, while the battery is covered by a 5-year/60,000 km warranty.

Final Take

With its indigenous technology platform, competitive range figures and connected features, the Avore EX marks an ambitious debut for the new EV manufacturer. If the claimed performance and pricing translate well into the real world, the EX could become an interesting option in India’s growing electric motorcycle segment.
