Toyota Launches All-New Hilux in India at ₹31.99 Lakh

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the all-new Hilux in India, introducing the ninth-generation pickup with a refreshed design, updated technology and enhanced comfort. Available in three automatic variants, the new Hilux is priced from ₹31.99 lakh (ex-showroom), with bookings now open and deliveries scheduled to begin in the second week of August.

Built on Toyota’s IMV platform, the Hilux continues to blend everyday usability with its renowned off-road capability, while offering a more premium cabin and improved connectivity.

Exterior

The new Hilux adopts Toyota’s ‘Tough & Agile’ design philosophy, inspired by the Cyber Sumo concept.

Exterior highlights include:

  • Redesigned front grille and bumper
  • LED headlamps with welcome function
  • LED fog lamps and daytime running lights
  • Alloy wheels
  • Electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs
  • LED rear combination lamps
  • Shark-fin antenna

The updated styling gives the pickup a stronger road presence while retaining its rugged character.

Powertrain

Power comes from Toyota’s familiar 2.8-litre BS6 Phase 2 diesel engine producing 201 hp and 500 Nm of torque.

The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and an 80-litre fuel tank for long-distance touring.

The Hilux continues to offer Toyota’s proven 4WD system with High (H4) and Low (L4) range, along with:

  • Electronic Differential Lock
  • Downhill Assist Control (DAC)
  • Double wishbone front suspension
  • Leaf spring rear suspension

Interior and features

Toyota has significantly upgraded the cabin with improved comfort and technology.

  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Toyota i-Connect connected car technology

The interior also receives soft-touch materials, metallic accents and improved storage solutions.

The all-new Hilux comes equipped with:

  • ISOFIX child-seat mounts
  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
  • Panoramic View Monitor

Toyota is offering the Hilux in three variants:

  • 4×2 GX AT: ₹31.99 lakh
  • 4×4 GX AT: ₹33.69 lakh
