Genesis has revealed the Magma GT3 Concept at the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans, offering the strongest indication yet that the Korean luxury brand could be planning an expansion into GT3 racing.
While Genesis hasn’t confirmed their racing programme, the concept was unveiled as a potential future project for Genesis Magma Racing as the brand looks to grow its motorsport footprint beyond the FIA World Endurance Championship.
A Race Car First, Road Car Second
Unlike most GT3 race cars, the Magma GT3 Concept has not been derived from an existing production model.
Instead, Genesis developed the car around GT3 regulations from the outset, focusing on aerodynamics, performance, and racing functionality.

Genesis is currently making its debut season in top-level endurance racing, with the GMR-001 Hypercar competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship. A GT3 programme would allow the brand to expand into one of the world’s most popular customer-racing categories.
A future GT3 effort would place Genesis alongside brands such as:
- Porsche
- Ferrari
- Lamborghini
- BMW
- Mercedes-AMG
- Aston Martin
It would also create a stronger link between Genesis road cars and its growing motorsport activities.
Magma Nameplate Continues to Grow
Alongside the GT3 Concept, Genesis showcased an updated Magma GT Concept with a redesigned interior.
The company says both concepts represent different interpretations of performance.

The company is making history as the first Korean manufacturer to compete at Le Mans, while also continuing its European expansion into new markets including Austria, Portugal, Denmark and Poland.
Genesis insists the Magma GT3 remains a concept for now. However, by bringing a GT3 racer to Le Mans and openly discussing future possibilities, the brand has made one thing clear, its motorsport ambitions extend well beyond Hypercar racing.
