Hero MotoCorp has announced an investment roadmap of over ₹3,200 crore in Andhra Pradesh while laying the foundation stone for its second Global Parts Centre (GPC) in Tirupati. The new facility forms part of the company’s long-term strategy to strengthen its manufacturing footprint, global supply chain and electric mobility ambitions in India.
The new Global Parts Centre alone will see an investment of over ₹750 crore and is expected to become a key hub for Hero MotoCorp’s domestic and international spare parts operations.
Hero MotoCorp says the investment will help transform Tirupati into a major manufacturing and logistics centre for future mobility.
The company also revealed that 100 percent of its electric vehicle portfolio is designed, engineered, and manufactured at its Tirupati plant. With the latest expansion, annual production capacity at the facility is expected to increase to 1.2-1.5 million units.
The expansion is expected to generate nearly 4,000 employment opportunities, while also strengthening the local supplier ecosystem.
According to Hero MotoCorp, the project aligns with both the Government of India’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision and Andhra Pradesh’s SwarnAndhra development programme.
Alongside the investment announcement, Hero MotoCorp also unveiled two new community initiatives.
Key announcements include:
The scholarship programme will fully fund tuition fees for meritorious students studying engineering at state IIITs, while the VIDA initiative aims to promote sustainable mobility and women’s empowerment.
Hero MotoCorp Executive Chairman Dr Pawan Munjal said the investment reflects the company’s confidence in India’s manufacturing future and Andhra Pradesh’s growth potential. He also dedicated the milestone to the legacy of the company’s founder, Dr Brijmohan Lall Munjal, on his 103rd birth anniversary.
