Hyundai Motor India has reported a strong sales performance for May 2026, registering domestic sales of 47,837 units, representing a 9.1 per cent year-on-year growth compared to the same month last year.
Including exports, Hyundai’s total sales for the month stood at 61,137 units, reflecting an overall 4.1 per cent growth over May 2025. The company exported 13,300 units during the month, continuing its role as one of Hyundai’s key global manufacturing and export hubs.
Hyundai says it has successfully carried its positive momentum into the new financial year. During the first two months of FY27, covering April and May 2026, the company recorded domestic sales of 99,739 units.
This marks a healthy 13 per cent increase compared to the 88,235 units sold during the same period in FY26.
According to Hyundai, the steady growth reflects continued customer demand across its passenger vehicle portfolio, which includes hatchbacks, sedans and SUVs.
Commenting on the results, Hyundai Motor India MD and CEO Tarun Garg said the company has maintained its growth trajectory through the opening months of FY27, supported by a strong product lineup and sustained market demand.
