JSW MG Motor India reported wholesale sales of 6,048 units in May 2026, maintaining steady performance despite ongoing challenges in the global automotive industry.
The company said it successfully managed disruptions caused by supply chain constraints, rising raw material costs and increasing freight charges through resilient manufacturing operations and careful supply management.
A major highlight for the brand during the month was the launch of the new MG Majestor, which now takes over as MG’s flagship combustion-powered SUV in India.
The company has also commenced dispatches of the Majestor to dealerships nationwide, with customer deliveries expected to begin soon.

The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 212 hp and 478.5 Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The range-topping 4×4 variant also comes equipped with advanced off-road hardware, including triple differential locks, multiple terrain modes and crawl control.
With dimensions measuring 5,046 mm in length, 2,016 mm in width and 1,870 mm in height, the Majestor is among the largest SUVs in its segment. Key features include:

The Majestor enters one of India’s most competitive premium SUV segments and will take on rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq.
