Renault India Records Ninth Consecutive Month of Growth

Renault India has continued its positive momentum in the Indian market, recording its ninth consecutive month of wholesale growth in May 2026. The streak, which began in September 2025, highlights the brand’s steady recovery and growing customer demand across the country.

Strong Growth Since September 2025

Between September 2025 and May 2026, Renault India recorded cumulative wholesale sales of 38,225 units.

This represents a 46 percent increase compared to the same period last year, making it one of the brand’s strongest growth phases in recent years.

The company also reported a 64 percent year-on-year increase in wholesales during May 2026, further underlining its improving performance in the market.

Positive Retail Flow

According to VAAHAN data, Renault was one of only two passenger vehicle manufacturers in India to register positive retail sales growth during May 2026. The performance reflects sustained demand for Renault’s product lineup and the company’s efforts to strengthen its position in one of the world’s most competitive automotive markets.

While Renault did not provide a model-wise sales breakup, the brand’s current portfolio includes the Renault Kwid, Renault Kiger, and Renault Triber.

Expanding Presence

Renault currently manufactures vehicles at its Oragadam facility near Chennai, which has an annual production capacity of 4.8 lakh units.

The company also operates a nationwide network of 638 customer touchpoints, including 200 Workshop on Wheels locations, helping improve sales and service reach across India.
