Mahindra has unveiled its long-awaited Scorpio Lifestyler, a lifestyle pickup based on the 2023 Global Pik Up concept. It shares its body-on-frame platform with the Scorpio-N and will take on the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max V-Cross in India.
The Scorpio Lifestyler is expected to launch by April 2027, with prices starting below ₹19.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
The pickup gets a muscular design with:
Mahindra will offer the Scorpio Lifestyler in three editions:
Each gets its own decals and accessories inspired by mountains, oceans and deserts.
The interior looks considerably more premium than the rugged exterior suggests. It features a large portrait-style touchscreen, digital driver’s display and plenty of physical controls.
Expected features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, connected-car technology and multiple terrain modes.
Mahindra is expected to carry over the Scorpio-N’s powertrains, including the 175hp 2.2-litre diesel and 203hp 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engines.
A six-speed manual and six-speed automatic are likely, while four-wheel drive is also expected.

The Scorpio Lifestyler could shake up India’s lifestyle pickup market with its Scorpio DNA and significantly lower expected price.
If Mahindra manages to retain the Scorpio-N’s performance and off-road ability while keeping the pickup practical, it could become a much more accessible alternative to the Hilux and V-Cross.
