Mahindra & Mahindra has revealed its all-new NU_IQ platform—a modular, multi-energy base that will support a new generation of SUVs. The company showcased four new concept SUVs—Vision.S, Vision.T, Vision.SXT, and Vision.X—built on this platform, giving a glimpse of Mahindra’s future products.

What is the NU_IQ Platform?

The NU_IQ platform is designed to be flexible, allowing Mahindra to create different types of SUVs with various powertrains, including electric and hybrid options. This new platform aims to break old rules and give customers more choices without compromise. It will help Mahindra launch SUVs that are stylish, powerful, safe, and packed with advanced technology.

Four New SUV Concepts:

  • Vision.S: Shows off a sporty and solid design.
  • Vision.T: Embodies Mahindra’s “Born Iconic” spirit.
  • Vision.SXT: Also carries the “Born Iconic” DNA with a unique twist.
  • Vision.X: Focuses on sculpted, athletic looks.

All four concepts are designed by Mahindra’s teams in Mumbai and the UK, blending Indian heritage with global design trends. The new design language, called HEARTCORE, aims to create an emotional bond between people and their vehicles, using the theme “Opposites Attract” to mix bold and contrasting elements.

What Mahindra Leaders Say:

  • R Velusamy, President – Automotive Business: “NU_IQ is our blueprint for the future. It lets us innovate and stay true to our SUV DNA, giving customers more freedom and no compromises.”
  • Pratap Bose, Chief Design & Creative Officer: “These SUVs start a new chapter for Mahindra design, creating vehicles that inspire adventure and confidence, anywhere in the world.”
  • Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO – Automotive Division: “NU_IQ blends innovation, global design, and advanced tech to disrupt the market in India and worldwide. The four concepts show what’s coming next.”

These new SUVs, engineered at Mahindra Research Valley, will start production in 2027. Mahindra plans to bring these advanced, luxury SUVs to more customers in India and global markets, including left-hand drive regions.
