Maruti Suzuki’s Fronx has crossed 2 lakh export units in under 38 months since exports began in June 2023, making it the fastest SUV from India to reach the milestone.

Manufactured at Maruti Suzuki’s Hansalpur plant in Gujarat, the Fronx is now exported to nearly 90 countries, including Japan.

Fronx leads Maruti’s exports

The Fronx has been India’s No. 1 exported passenger vehicle since FY2024-25, according to Maruti Suzuki.

The company currently exports 17 models to nearly 120 countries, with the Fronx, Jimny 5-door, e Vitara, Dzire and Baleno being its top exported models in Q1 FY2026-27.

Maruti Suzuki accounted for more than 55 percent of India’s passenger vehicle exports during the quarter.

India’s export story

Maruti Suzuki has remained India’s largest passenger vehicle exporter for five consecutive years. The company says its growing export volumes are helping strengthen the global footprint of vehicles made in India.

The Fronx’s rapid rise is particularly notable, with the SUV adding its second lakh exports in almost half the time it took to reach the first.
