Mercedes-Benz India has launched the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad PRO, a limited-run variant of its performance SUV, priced from ₹3.80 crore (ex-showroom). The new version adds off-road-focused hardware and rugged design elements to the iconic G-Class.
The Offroad PRO retains the G 63’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid powertrain while introducing specialised suspension technology, new off-road modes and expedition-ready equipment.
Enhanced Off-Road Capability
The G 63 Offroad PRO features AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with active roll stabilisation, alongside two exclusive off-road modes: AMG Traction PRO and AMG Active Balance Control.
- AMG Traction PRO: Controls braking torque at individual wheels to improve traction in challenging terrain, including deep sand.
- AMG Active Balance Control: Allows drivers to adjust suspension roll stiffness across three levels.
- PROFESSIONAL roof luggage rack: Adds space for expedition equipment and features a removable rear ladder.

V8 Power and Performance
The Offroad PRO is powered by a handcrafted 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with 48V mild-hybrid technology. It produces 585 hp and 850 Nm, with power delivered to all four wheels through AMG Performance 4MATIC.

Rugged Styling and Interior Features

Inside, the SUV features Nappa leather upholstery, customisable ambient lighting and the MBUX NTG7 infotainment system with Augmented Reality Navigation. A redesigned off-road cockpit displays information such as vehicle position, steering angle, tyre pressure and differential-lock status.
