Mercedes-AMG has officially revealed the all-new AMG GT 4-Door Coupe, and it could become one of the most extreme electric performance cars ever developed by AMG.
Built on the brand’s new AMG.EA electric performance platform, the new GT 4-Door Coupe introduces:
The flagship Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4-Door Coupe can sprint from 0-100 kph in just 2 seconds.
While top speed is electronically limited to 299 kph with the optional AMG Performance Package.
Mercedes-AMG says the car uses:
to deliver fully variable all-wheel-drive performance.
The new AMG also debuts a completely new AMG High Performance Electric Battery inspired by Formula 1 hybrid technology.
The 106kWh battery uses:
Mercedes-AMG claims the car supports 600 kW DC fast charging, allowing around 460 km of range in just 10 minutes.
One of the most interesting features is AMGFORCE Sport+ mode, which simulates:
Mercedes-AMG says the system uses more than 1,600 sound files to recreate the emotional feel of a traditional AMG V8.
Inside, the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe gets a heavily tech-focused cabin with a large portrait-style infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster, and AMG-specific performance displays. Mercedes-AMG has also added sporty bucket seats, illuminated interior trims, and extensive use of carbon fibre and Alcantara to maintain the car’s aggressive character.
Despite the futuristic layout, AMG says the cabin still focuses heavily on driver engagement rather than just minimalistic EV design.
The new GT 4-Door Coupe features:
AMG also claims the car achieves a 0.22 drag coefficient despite its aggressive styling.
The Mercedes-AMG CONCEPT GT XX is far more extreme than the production-ready Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe.
While the GT 4-Door Coupe focuses on combining everyday usability with high performance, the GT XX acts more like a futuristic technology showcase for AMG’s next-generation EVs.
The GT XX produces over 1,360 hp, which is even more than the GT 4-Door Coupe’s 1,153 hp.
It also gets more advanced aerodynamics, faster charging tech and a much more radical interior inspired by Formula 1 cars. In simple terms, the GT 4-Door Coupe is the car customers will actually buy, while the GT XX shows how interesting AMG’s future electric performance cars could become.
The new AMG GT 4-Door Coupe will rival:
