Mercedes-Benz India has introduced a new set of customer-focused service initiatives, including India’s first AI-powered automated vehicle scanner and a new Service Select programme for older Mercedes-Benz cars.
The company also inaugurated its largest luxury service facility in Mumbai, operated by Landmark Cars in Jogeshwari.
The new XENTRY Vehicle Scanner uses a 360-degree camera system to digitally record a vehicle’s exterior condition as it passes through the scanner.

The system is already used in markets including Germany, Italy, Korea, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Turkey.
Mercedes-Benz says the scanner will improve transparency by giving customers a consistent digital record of their vehicle before servicing.
Mercedes-Benz has also introduced Service Select, a loyalty programme aimed at cars that are seven years old and above.

The company continues to offer its STAR EASE service package, three-year standard warranty and extended warranty options of up to six years.

This is Mercedes-Benz India’s 14th luxury facility in Mumbai.
Mercedes-Benz currently has more than 90 service touchpoints, 1,200+ service bays and 4,200 employees across India.
The company also plans to add more than 20 MAR 20X touchpoints by the end of 2026, backed by more than ₹450 crore of investment from franchise partners over the next two years.

Mercedes-Benz is trying to make luxury ownership more convenient even after the car leaves the showroom. The AI scanner should make service inspections quicker and more transparent, while Service Select could make maintaining older Mercedes cars more affordable.
With more service facilities also being added, the company is clearly putting as much focus on the ownership experience as it does on selling new cars.
