Yokohama Launches New GEOLANDAR X-CV Range for SUVs in India

Yokohama India has launched the GEOLANDAR X-CV range in India, bringing its premium SUV tyre technology to a wider range of crossover and premium SUVs. The tyres will now be available in sizes starting from 16 inches, compared to the 18-inch and above sizes offered previously.

The company plans to offer 32 sizes between 16 and 20 inches, making it Yokohama India’s most extensive dedicated tyre range for crossover and premium SUVs.

GEOLANDAR X-CV: What’s new?

The new tyres use Yokohama’s latest tread and compound technologies, with a focus on safety, comfort and durability.

Key features include:

  • Micro Silica compound for improved wet grip and lower rolling resistance
  • Asymmetric tread pattern for better steering response and cornering stability
  • Four wide grooves to evacuate water and improve wet braking
  • 2D-3D combination sipes for wet grip and more even tyre wear
  • 5-Pitch Variation Technology to reduce road noise
  • Two-ply sidewall construction for added durability
  • Full Nylon Cover for improved high-speed stability
  • The GEOLANDAR X-CV is also EV compatible, with its construction designed to handle the additional weight and instant torque of electric SUVs.

Available from August

The GEOLANDAR X-CV will go on sale from August 2026 through Yokohama Club Network outlets and select authorised dealers across India.

The range will cater to compact, mid-size and premium crossover SUVs. As an introductory offer, Yokohama is also offering a no-cost EMI option on the new range.

Final Take

The GEOLANDAR X-CV brings Yokohama’s premium SUV tyre technology to a much wider range of vehicles. With sizes starting at 16 inches and EV compatibility, it should appeal to both conventional and electric SUV owners looking for a quieter and more durable tyre without giving up wet-weather performance.
