MG Cyberster and M9 Get Battery-as-a-Service Option

MG SELECT, the luxury brand channel of JSW MG Motor India, has introduced Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) for the MG Cyberster and MG M9, giving buyers an alternative ownership model for the two electric vehicles.

Under the new scheme, the Cyberster is available at ₹72.49 lakh + ₹8/km battery rental, while the M9 starts at ₹69.99 lakh + ₹8/km. Both prices are introductory and ex-showroom.

Cyberster: 503hp Electric Sports Car

The MG Cyberster is a two-seat electric roadster inspired by the MGB Roadster. Its standout design elements include electric scissor doors, a low-slung profile and a cockpit-style cabin.

Its dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup produces:

  • 503hp
  • 725 Nm
  • 0-100 km/h: around 3.2 seconds

M9: Luxury Electric MPV

The MG M9 focuses on passenger comfort, with a lounge-style cabin featuring 16-way adjustable Presidential Seats, eight massage modes, ventilation and heating.

  • Intelligent Arm Rest controls
  • Yacht-style dual sunroof
  • 64-colour ambient lighting
  • 13-speaker sound system
  • Level 2 ADAS
  • Driver Monitoring System
  • Seven airbags
  • 5-star Euro NCAP and ANCAP ratings

MG SELECT Expands Reach

MG SELECT currently operates 15 Experience Centres across 14 cities in India. The brand says these gallery-style outlets are designed around its approach to luxury, technology and curated customer experiences.

The Cyberster and M9 remain the two products currently offered through the MG SELECT channel.

The BaaS programme gives MG SELECT customers another way to structure ownership of its luxury EVs, lowering the upfront vehicle price in exchange for a per-kilometre battery rental.
