MG Majestor: From a Comfortable Drive to an Off-Road Adventure

For automobile journalists, long working hours and packed schedules are part of everyday life. So, when Hani and his colleagues finally set out on a long-awaited adventure, they were ready to enjoy some time away from work. Their choice of vehicle was the MG Majestor, an SUV that offers plenty of space, comfort and off-road hardware.

The drive begins on the highway, with the group settling into the SUV’s spacious cabin. The front seats offer ventilation and massage functions, while the 12.3-inch touchscreen, JBL Studio 12 audio system, dual wireless charging and ambient lighting add to the experience. At the back, captain seats with individual armrests provide plenty of room to relax. The panoramic sunroof makes the cabin feel more open, and the large boot can accommodate the group’s luggage.

As the journey continues, Aravind, the most enthusiastic member of the group, struggles to stay awake. Soon, the others follow, leaving Hani behind the wheel with an idea. Instead of sticking to the highway, he takes an unexpected detour.

When the Road Ends

The smooth tarmac gives way to sand, mud, rocks, steep climbs and water crossings. The change in terrain puts the Majestor’s off-road equipment to use.

Its M-HUB system offers multiple drive modes for different surfaces, while the triple differential lock system helps maintain traction. The M Crawl function manages throttle and braking over difficult sections, and the 360-degree HD camera helps the driver navigate tricky spots.

Despite the rough terrain, the passengers remain fast asleep. Hani eventually reaches a scenic hilltop, but even the bumpy ride has failed to wake his colleagues. He finally sounds the horn, sending them into a brief panic before they realise they have slept through the entire adventure.

The confusion soon turns into laughter as the group steps out to enjoy the view.

Final Take

The journey brings together two sides of the MG Majestor: a spacious, comfortable cabin for long drives and the hardware needed to tackle rough terrain. By taking the group from highways to off-road trails, the story shows how the SUV fits into both sides of an adventure, with the unexpected detour making the trip all the more memorable.
