MINI Cooper S GP Inspired Edition Launched in India at ₹58.90 Lakh

MINI has launched the new MINI Cooper S GP Inspired Edition in India at ₹58.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The special edition pays tribute to the legendary MINI GP, which remains the fastest and most hardcore MINI ever built.

MINI will sell the GP Inspired Edition in India as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU), and production is limited to just 30 units nationwide.

Exclusive Design Details

The car comes finished in Legend Grey exterior paint, paired with Chilli Red roof and mirror caps, giving it a much more aggressive appearance.

MINI has also added:

  • GP-inspired bonnet and side stripes
  • JCW spoiler extension
  • JCW winglets
  • Rear diffuser
  • ‘1/30’ limited-edition badging

Sporty Interior with OLED Display

Inside, the cabin gets:

  • JCW sport seats
  • Vescin Black upholstery
  • JCW steering wheel with paddle shifters
  • Illuminated GP door sills
  • GP-specific floor mats

The car also features a 240 mm circular OLED touchscreen running MINI Operating System 9 with:

  • Voice assistant
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Navigation
  • Harman Kardon sound system

Engine Specifics

Power comes from a 2.0-litre MINI TwinPower Turbo petrol engine producing 204 hp and 300 Nm torque.

The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission

  • 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds

Final Take

The MINI Cooper S GP Inspired Edition is clearly aimed at enthusiasts who want something far rarer and more special than a regular premium hatchback. With only 30 units allocated for India, aggressive JCW-inspired styling and strong performance, this special edition feels more like a collector’s MINI than just another limited-run variant.
