New Audi Q3 Enters Local Production Ahead of India Launch

Audi India has commenced local assembly of the all-new Q3 at the Skoda Auto Volkswagen India plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The new-generation compact luxury SUV is scheduled to launch in India on October 16, 2026.

The India-spec Q3 will be powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine and equipped with Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system. Audi also says the SUV will feature several segment-first technologies.

Local Assembly Begins

The start of production marks another step in Audi’s localisation strategy in India. The Q3 will be manufactured at the SAVWIPL facility, with Audi stating that the model will be produced to the same quality and engineering standards as its global counterparts.

The Q3 has also been an important entry point into the Audi brand, and the company expects the new generation to help expand its customer base in India.

2.0-Litre Petrol and Quattro

The new Q3 will be offered with a 2.0-litre petrol engine, paired with Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system.

Audi says the combination is intended to provide dynamic performance while retaining the practicality expected from a compact luxury SUV. However, the company has not yet disclosed the India-specification power, torque, gearbox or performance figures.
